I Tested Every Top 3D AI Mesh Generator in 2026 (in one simple video)

If you've been ignoring 3D AI tools like Meshy, Tripo, and Hunyuan, this is your catch-up: what works, what's hype, and where the tech really is in 2026.

I Tested Every Top 3D AI Mesh Generator in 2026 (in one simple video)

Two years ago AI 3D generators were nowhere near usable. Coming back to them at the start of 2026, the progress is genuinely surprising. I tested the top mesh generators side by side, including Meshy, Tripo, Rodin, and newer entries from Tencent and NCSoft. It was a tough, expensive video to make, but a useful one.

New tech updates

NCSoft launches Varco 3D

NCSoft's AI division, the team behind Guild Wars and Lineage, launched Varco 3D. It takes text or an image and runs the whole pipeline in the browser: concept ideation, model generation, remeshing, and basic animation. What makes it stand out is that this is a major game publisher putting its internal production AI into public hands, not just another all-in-one aimed at 3D printing or hobbyists.

Ramen VR launches an Unreal AI assistant, Aura

Ramen VR launched Aura, an AI coding assistant built specifically for Unreal Engine. It reads your project's codebase and works with Blueprints and C++ in context, rather than being a general assistant like Claude Code or Cursor. Sinn Studio used it to ship Zombonks into early access in five months, cutting asset sourcing from 2 to 3 days per level down to 4 to 5 hours. It is invite-only with a two-week trial, and your assets stay local.

Hy-Motion 1.0 releases

Tencent open-sourced HY-Motion 1.0, a text-to-motion model that generates skeleton-based character animation from a prompt. It outputs SMPL-H with FBX export for Blender, Unity, or Unreal, and was trained on over 3,000 hours of motion across 200-plus categories. There is a full 1B model and a lighter 0.46B version, both running locally with 26GB or more of VRAM. It is best for blocking out movement in previs or prototyping NPC behavior, with the usual text-to-motion limits around looping and precise object interaction.

Dash 1.9.3 adds one-click assets

Polygonflow's Dash 1.9.3 added single-asset purchasing from third-party creators directly inside Unreal 5. Dekogon is the first seller with its full library available, and Sierra Division added a free pack. You search in the viewport, buy or download an individual asset, and it drops into your scene in seconds, which removes a lot of the friction that usually fragments worldbuilding.

New video: every top 3D AI generator, tested

Over the holidays I spent hundreds of dollars testing the best AI 3D mesh generators out there, and the results were surprising and genuinely usable depending on what you are trying to do. The video is built to catch you up on where things stand heading into 2026.
