Unity plugins for Claude Code and Codex
Official Unity skill packs for two of the most used coding agents.
Unity released an official plugin for Codex on September 16, a week after its official plugin for Claude Code on September 9. Each bundles around 30 skills, instruction packs the agent reads before it writes code, that Unity says were written by the engineers who build each system, covering UI, 2D, rendering, audio, gameplay, monetization, multiplayer and localization. For a newcomer coding with an AI agent, the practical result should be fewer plausible but wrong Unity answers, and Unity also says the output is more token efficient. The plugins are available now for Unity 6 and later under the Unity Companion License. You still need your own Codex or Claude Code subscription.
