UnityUnity 6.4, a Supported update to the Unity 6 line shipped around GDC 2026, folds the Entities Component System (ECS/DOTS) into built-in Core packages, so the high-performance data-oriented stack no longer needs separate installs. It also bakes Project Auditor into the editor and adds DirectStorage for faster asset streaming on PC and Xbox.
