Convai MCP for Unreal
Codex or Claude Code can now do the integration plumbing around an AI character.
Convai's Unreal integration now speaks MCP, so a coding agent (Codex or Claude Code) can do much of the setup around an embodied AI character: connect a Convai mind to an avatar, enable real-time conversation with lip sync and facial animation, and wire up navigation, actions, and gameplay behaviors like proximity greetings inside a real Unreal project. This doesn't eliminate character design or performance direction. It removes the repetitive Blueprint and C++ plumbing that stops many conversational-character prototypes before they're playable. The character brain stays hosted on Convai's service, so check runtime pricing, latency, and voice and player-data handling before shipping with it.
Convai
Best for adding talking, reactive NPCs to a game without wiring up five AI services.
