AutoRemesher 1.1
The free remesher gets its own quad engine, anisotropic quads and mesh simplification.
AutoRemesher 1.1 replaces Geogram with its own quad parameterizer, adds anisotropic quad sizing (quads that stretch to follow the shape) and mesh simplification, and smooths the extracted quads back onto the input mesh. Quads are four-sided polygons, the clean, grid-like topology artists prefer because it is easier to UV, sculpt and deform. For a small team, this is a free way to turn AI-generated or scanned meshes, which usually come out as messy triangles, into quad topology. It is MIT licensed and available now from GitHub. The limitation: automatic quads are a starting point, and characters will still need a manual pass to get animation-ready edge loops around joints.
AutoRemesher
Best for solo devs turning sculpts and scans into game-ready quads without paying for a retopo tool.
