SpriteLoop early alpha
A free Spine-style cut-out animation tool for 2D game characters, in early alpha.
SpriteLoop from BalkanRamGames does cut-out animation, where a 2D character is split into parts that move like a paper puppet. You import PNG body parts, arrange them in a parent-child hierarchy, and animate position, rotation, scale, skew and opacity with linear, stepped or eased keys. Skins and variants let one animation drive many characters, handy for a cast of enemies. It exports spritesheets, PNG sequences, GIFs and animated WebP, has an official Defold runtime, and lists community runtimes for Godot, Unity, Construct 3, Phaser and Solar2D. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux and is free on itch.io. It is early alpha, so expect rough edges and changing formats, and it is not built for frame-by-frame pixel art or mesh deformation.
