Meta introduces SAM 3D

Meta announced SAM 3D, shipping two open models that reconstruct 3D from a single image: SAM 3D Objects, which recovers shape, texture, and pose even under occlusion, and SAM 3D Body, a promptable full-body human mesh model. For gamedev it turns reference photos into posed 3D props and rigged character meshes, released with checkpoints, code, and data under Meta's SAM License.
