EA backs the Godot Development Fund

Battlefield Studios joined the Godot Development Fund as a Corporate Platinum member, committing at least 36,000 euros a year and becoming the first AAA studio to fund the engine directly. The context makes it bigger than the number: Battlefield 6's Portal editor is a customized Godot build, so EA already ships Godot-derived tech to millions of players. Godot's previous top backers were successful indies, and a AAA publisher joining them says the ecosystem's money and longevity are firming up.
